Allan Becker, of Crete, passed away on 12/9/2021 at the age of 74.

Allan is survived by his wife, Susan Becker (nee Schoenbeck); his children: Jennifer (Michael) Oertel, Kelly (Michael) Siefert and Phillip (Courtney) Becker; his sister Judy (Jerry)  Schluntz; and grandchildren Charlotte Siefert and Aiden Becker. Dear brother in law and uncle to many.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Becker, and mother Verna Becker (nee Nacke).

Allan was born on 4/28/1947 in Chicago Heights Illinois.  He graduated from Crete Monee High School in 1965.  After high school Allan served in the National Guard worked as a butcher.  Allan then worked with his father, Ray, at the barbershop in Crete.  Allan took over the business upon Ray’s retirement.  Allan and the barbershop were a fixture of downtown Crete where clients became friends, and friends became family.  It was common to walk into the shop filled with people not there for haircuts, but for the friendly banter, laugher, and to watch the Cubs game.  Allan loved making people happy, from the inside jokes he shared with all his clients, to handing out homemade eggnog at Christmas.

Allan was a devoted, lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Crete where he sang in the choir and served as a trustee and President.  His passion for singing led him to the South Suburban Men of Note choir where he performed for many years.  Allan was an avid Chicago sports fan and enjoyed watching games with friends and family.  He loved to fish and later in life was a model train enthusiast.

Allan touched many lives through his work and his faith and will be greatly missed.

Memorial gathering on Sunday, January 30th from 1pm to 5pm at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.  Memorial service will be on Monday, January 31st  at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 1610 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.   (708) 672-7600.

Condolences

Thanks for your post. I would also like to say that the health insurance brokerage also works best for the benefit of the coordinators of any group insurance policy. The health broker is given a directory of benefits wanted by somebody or a group coordinator. What a broker will is seek out individuals or perhaps coordinators which will best match those wants. Then he provides his referrals and if all sides agree, the broker formulates an agreement between the two parties.
