Arthur Chester Morton III age 89 of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on August 8, 2026. Arthur was born on September 10, 1936, in Memphis, TN to the late Arthur Chester Morton II and Amy Louis Morton McFerran. Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Army and spent his career as a dedicated Chicago Police officer for 34 years. He enjoyed life, good music, food and drink. More than anything, he loved his family, his dog and being with friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Sylvia Morton; his brother Buddy Morton; and his stepmother Dolly Morton and stepfather Walter McFerran.
He is survived by two daughters, Gina and Tasha Morton; two grandsons, Bandon and Tyler Morton; his devoted niece, Senalda Grady, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
