We remember Carol Ann MacKenzie, of Flossmoor, whose spirit departed from us on December 9th, 2024 at the age of 77 due to heart complications. Carol was born June 1947 to Jack and Marie MacKenzie of South Shore. Carol’s passion for theater started when she was studying at Marian Catholic, Chicago Heights. This passion for theatrics followed her to the Drama Group where she spent her favorite years of life performing with her friends and family. Carols love and laughter were contagious to those around her. Carols unwavering friendship and kindness will be remembered by all who knew them.
Although Carol is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.
Preceded in death by her parents John and Marie MacKenzie. Beloved sister to Robert and wife Wladyslawa MacKenzie. Loving aunt to Marysia MacKenzie. Cherished cousin to Nancy Corrigan, Nancy Hayes-Wolff, Kathleen Glenn, Elizabeth Ellsworth, Teresa Nugent, Michael Nugent, Frank Nugent, Thomas Nugent, Joseph Nugent, Terry Nugent, Maureen Lindsay, Terrance Nugent, William Reynolds, James Reynolds, Jane Wasicek, and Margaret Scroggs.
Services will take place on Tuesday, December 17th . Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. proceeded by mass from 11-noon at St. Veronica Catholic Church (formerly known as Infant Jesus of Prague), 1131 Douglas Ave. Flossmoor, Il.
