Carol M. Blake (nee Haynes) age 87 of Crete, Illinois passed away surround by her loving husband and family on September 26, 2021.  Beautiful wife of almost 68 years to James; loving mother to Cathleen (Adrian) Giovanetti, Jeffrey (Kathy) Blake and Jennifer (Brian) Zaylik.  Beloved grandmother to 5; great grandmother to 3.   Dear sister to Susan Brischke. Jim and Carol were a true love story who shared every aspect of their lives together.  They had such a love of travel with their RV exploring the countryside. Carol had passion for cooking, baking, sewing, and quilting that was shared with all.

Memorial gathering on Saturday, October 2nd   from 1:00PM until time of service at 2:30PM at the Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main St. (Dixie Highway), Crete, IL.  Info. 708-672-7600.

    Aunt Carol was such a fun and loving woman. There are so many fond childhood memories of our times together. My father, Ralph, used to tell me about some of their childhood antics. Quite simply, he loved his sister. Carol will be missed by all who loved her.
