Caroline R. Harmsen (nee Bruns) age 81 of Crete, Illinois passed away on June 11, 2016. Preceded in death by her loving husband John (1975). Beloved mother to Jo (Fred) Eichler and Allen (Kelly) Harmsen. Cherished grandmother to Dennis Kuntzman Jr., Chrysa and Joshua Harmsen; great grandmother to Tylynn and Denny Kuntzman. Fond sister to late Donald Bruns, late Ethel (Robert) Brown and Vida (late Martin) Brill. Dear aunt to many nieces, nephews and fond cousin to several. Caroline loved doing word search puzzles, listening to Celine Dion, going to church, never missed a Wheel of Fortune on tv and especially spending time with her family.Visitation Wednesday, June 15 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois. Funeral on Thursday, lying in state from 10AM until time of service11:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church on Elizabeth in Crete, Illinois. Interment: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Crete, Illinois.
