Charles (Charlie) T Beckett, age 77, of Castle Rock, CO, formerly of Crete, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, CO. He was born on September 25, 1941 in Amelia, Ohio, the son of Vance and Elizabeth (June) Beckett. He was the middle child of eleven siblings. Loving husband of 53 years to Donna (Stelter) and loving father of Lon (Joelle) of Castle Rock, Co and Lisa (Josh) Reel of Parker, CO and proud Papa to 5 grandchildren, Mia, Maddie, Jack, Sophie and Zoe.He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963 and graduated from Cumberland College in 1968. He worked for First United Bank in Crete, Illinois before opening his own business, Beckett Accounting, in Beecher, Illinois. He operated his own business until his retirement in 2003.Memorial gathering with the family will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois from 1:00pm until time of service at 4:00pm.
