It is with deep sympathy that the family of Darlis Schofield announces her passing at the age of 81.  Darlis was survived by her husband, Donald Schofield, of 61 years.  Darlis is remembered as a sweet caring person.  She sent birthday cards to nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and 100’s of friends.  Darlis saw it as her mission in life that everyone would receive at least one birthday wish every year.  Darlis had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke.

She was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Candall and her brother Orlando Webb.  She is survived by her husband Donald, and her children Donald T. Schofield II, Douglas (Sharon Leong) Schofield and Diane (George) Scott.  She was blessed by her grandchildren Franklin Scott, Jessica Schofield and Samantha Schofield.  She was survived by her siblings Linda Whaley, William Clark Webb, J. Chris Kent and Roxanne Brown.

Due to the current circumstances and restrictions caused by Covid-19, we ask that you please follow the state’s guidelines of wearing masks/face coverings and social distancing. On behalf of the family and the funeral home staff, we would like to thank you for your cooperation.

Her smile, humor and thoughtfulness lives on in our memory.
She was a genuine person who always brought something when she came to visit. She attended all my kids parties and celebrations . Just a solid member of the family you would hear from every day. Rest In Peace Aunt Darlis.

Darlis and Don were my favorite parents!! My childhood was rough with abuse from my own parents. The Schofield’s were my perfect parents. Diane and I were friends since I was 6 years old. It’s been 51 years since I’ve been in the Schofield family!! I love the entire family. They will always be my family thru thick and thin! R.I.P……..Darlis!!

Darlis – what a WONDERFUL sense of humor!
“What you been up to?” About 5’6″
“What’s New” Well let’s see there’s NEW York, NEW Jersey…
Darlis – what a THOUGHTFUL Lady!
Not a birthday, Anniversary or Holiday did she ever miss sending a heartfelt card
Darlis – what a TERRIFIC Aunt!
Not a party, wedding or family function did she ever miss attending
Darlis – Dear, SWEET Aunt Darlis – YOU will be missed here on Earth, but I can’t help but smile at the thought of your reunion in Heaven with your Brother Orlando and my mother Shirley!

Thanks everyone for the great comments about mom. Yes, she is missed by all! We miss her alot.

Note: I didn’t know about the comments section until today. Diane told me about it.
I think this is a great place to leave comments on their birthdays. I think that would be nice. Maybe we can post links to this page on Facebook on their birthdays.

Miss you mom! … and now dad too. :0)

I miss your parents too. Your mom made the best chocolate cake. They both had great sense of humor. Great parties at their house. Good memories!
