David A. Kowalski Sr., age 68 of Flossmoor, Illinois passed away on June 26th, 2025. Cherished son to late Stanley and late Elaine (nee Koenigsmann) Kowalski. Beloved husband of 44 years to Sandra (nee Bruszer); loving dad to Nick (Jeanine) Kowalski, Jeffrey (Brisa) Kowalski, David Jr. (Susan) Kowalski and Scott (Taylor) Kowalski. Beautiful grandfather to Alejandro, Emiliana and Myra. Dear brother to Daniel (Kati) Kowalski, Jean Kowalski and Joan (Steve) Erbeck. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. David was devoted to his family, and we were deeply blessed by every moment we shared with him. His presence brought warmth, strength, and unwavering love that will forever remain in our hearts. He was a man who always showed up for others, consistently putting their needs before his own—a selflessness that left a lasting mark on so many lives. He lived for his annual routine of a fast-paced Tax Season helping others with their Tax Preparations. He will be sadly missed by many, and his memory will live on forever.

Visitation Wednesday, July 2nd from 2pm until time of service at 7PM at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home, 540 Dixie Hwy. (at Joe Orr Rd.), Chicago Heights, IL 60411 Info: (708) 754-0016.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

My late husband & I have been clients of Dave’s since he began working with Bob Kuh, approximately 25 years ago. My husband passed away in April of 2024, & Dave helped me to navigate some of the red tape during a time I could not begin to think straight. Like many others, I will miss him. May God bless the Kowalski family with many wonderful memories during this difficult time.

What a Beautiful tribute. Dave was All that and it will be echoed over and over. I will miss you my friend. I can still see you lugging your suitcase, climbing my stairs, saying “oooodee!”, sharing a cup of coffee. Good memories. R.I.P

Dave grew up in Chicago Heights two houses up the street from my parent’s home on Thomas Street. Great guy. We caddied together at Flossmoor CC for a few years. Riding our bikes there and back. I remember Dave being a sincere, happy person.

It’s been some time since I last saw and spoke to Dave. Dave was one of the best guys I ever knew, a good man. I’m lucky to have known Dave and to have shared some fun times.

My sincere sympathy to Sandy and Dave’s entire family. Nothing meant more to him than all of you (and his dog, Lilly.) Dave and I worked together back when he brought his boys to the office. When I sold real estate, he and Sandy allowed me to help them buy their Flossmoor home — and we’ve remained friends perhaps for more than 40 years. Each of us who knew Dave feel the loss. He was a special man. I shall always cherish our friendship. Rest peacefully, my friend💔
