Obituary
David Louis Santeford age 77, a longtime resident of Crete, Illinois passed away on January 31, 2025. Beloved husband to Peggy (nee Snare) for 49 years. Loving father to Matthew (Julie) Santeford, James (Andrea) Santeford and Dale Santeford. Cherished grandfather to Molly, Mira and Sonia Santeford. Preceded in death by his parents Louis and Winifred (nee Whitehead) Santeford and his brother William Santeford.
Dave grew up in Chicago Heights, IL where he graduated from Bloom High School. He served in the US Army for 2 years of active duty and 4 years in reserve. Dave was a union carpenter and worked in the trade as a skilled cabinet maker. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time along the shoreline with Peggy. He enjoyed golfing and attending professional golf tournaments. Dave and Peggy regularly went to concerts to see their favorite musicians. He will be dearly missed.
