Obituary
David A. Robinson was born at home in Harvey, Illinois on September 27, 1938 the youngest of 4 boys. Graduated from Thornton High School in 1957. He immediately went to work at his uncle Rays engineering and surveying company R.W. Robinson (now known as Robinson Engineering) where he worked diligently and started out as a rodman. He was a faithful employee from the time he started after high school until he retired in 2002 after 46 years where he had been a Regional On Site Inspector. David married his present surviving wife Janet (Nee Kirkpatrick) in 1971 and shared the joys of a combined family of 6 children as of his passing that have been together for 44 years. A devoted religious and who enjoyed woodworking, collecting model cars and watching sports especially the Chicago Bears. He also worked a second job as a security guard for Graham Security Services for an exceptional time until all his children began lives of their own. He is survived by his wife Janet; his 6 children Chuck (Vivian) Robinson, Jim (Sheila) Johnson, Diana (Matt) Perry, Judy (Ron) Miner, Jerry Robinson and Lora (Ross) Blythe. Cherished grandfather of 18 and great grandfather of 8. He preceded in death by his owns parents and all 3 of his brothers, as well as his mother in law and father in law.Visitation Monday, June 1st from 2:00PM to 8:00PM with a 7:30PM service at the Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.
