 Dessie Isabell Knight , 91, of Crete and Oglesby ,Illinois  died on Monday, February, 9, 2015.Mrs. Knight was born September 14, 1923, in Franklin County, Benton, Illinois, to Amanda and Robert Kivett. She was married to Paul Knight, Jr., who proceeded her in death in 1990.Mrs. Knight was a long-time resident of Beecher, Crete, and Steger, and moved to Oglesby two years ago to be close to her daughter. She was a retired homemaker with a large extended family. Mrs. Knight is survived by her four sons, three daughters, and many grand-, great-grand-, and great-great-grandchildren.Sons are Paul Knight and wife, Betsy, of Wheeler, Oregon; Gary Knight and wife, Joanne, of Lansing, Kansas; Glen Knight and wife, Marybeth, of San Jose, California; and Evan Knight of Grant’s Pass, Oregon. Daughters are Sheila (nee Cummings Knight) Fiorini and husband, Dr. Anthony Fiorini, of Crete, Illinois; Shae (Jean) Knight and fiance, Jayne Mancini, of Oglesby, Illinois; and Betty (nee Knight) Duffey of Grant’s Pass, Oregon.Grandchildren are Dana (nee Derickson) Saller and husband, Steve, of Frankfort, Illinois; Lisa (nee Derickson) Shearer and husband, Dale, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Brent Derickson and wife, Carlene, of Lockport, Illinois; Kelsey Knight of Portland, Oregon; Colin Knight of Lansing, Kansas; Amanda (nee Knight) Boyers and husband, Brian, of Kansas City, Kansas; Rhiannon Luft of Rockford, Illinois; Nathan Luft of Morris, Illinois; Zachary and Andrea Knight of Glendale, Arizona; Matthew Garrett and Thomas Knight of San Jose, California.Great-grandchildren are Grant Saller and wife, Iva; Austin Saller and wife, Donna; Jordan Saller and fiance, Krista Fiala; Cameron and Autumn Shearer; Rachael and Tyler Derickson, and Adeline, Phoebe, Sarafina Boyers.  Great-great-grandchildren include Luka and Addyson Saller.Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son Mark Allen Knight; sisters Nelma Kent, Maggie Reed, and Virgie Harmon; brothers Charles and Leon Kivett; and grandson Gavin Knight.Visitation Wednesday February 11 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.  Services will be held Thursday, February 12, at Zion Lutheran Church, Crete, Illinois, Dessie will be lying in state from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM, where she has been a member for 60 years.  Interment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Crete, Illinois.   Info:  (708) 672-7600.  www.cretefuneralhome.com
