Edward W. Neitzel, Jr. age 89 of Crete, Illinois passed away on June 2, 2019. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Andersen); loving father of Charles Chuck (Diane) Neitzel, George (Melissa) Neitzel and the late Terence Neitzel. Cherished grandfather of 5; great grandfather of 2. Beautiful brother of the late Dorothy (late Henry) Elkei and late Cordella Arnold. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Edward worked for the Whiting Corporation as a machinist and served proudly in the Korean Conflict for the U.S. Army.Lying in state on Sunday, June 9th from 3PM until the time of service at 4PM at Zion Lutheran Church at 1610 Main Street, Crete, Illinois. Everyone to meet at 11AM for burial on Monday, June 10th at Skyline Memorial Park, Monee, Illinois. Arrangements entrusted to Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.
