Edward A. Nommensen age 74, of Crete, Illinois passed away on May 12, 2014 with his family by his side. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Kathryn (2005). Loving children Colleen (William) Burns, Timothy (Lisa) Nommensen and Sandra (Christopher) Mizner. Cherished grandfather to Leah (Sasho) Tolevski, Magdalene Burns, Timothy Nommensen, Connor Mizner and Caden Mizer; great grandfather to Lukas Tolevski. Dear brother to Andrea Bowen. Edward worked as an over the road tanker driver, served in the U.S. Army and is a member of Crete American Legion Post #1291. He loved to fish with his family.Visitation Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 2:00PM until 8:00PM with a 7:30PM service at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois. Interment: Private.
