Elizabeth M. Green (nee Harris) age 91 longtime resident of Park Forest, Illinois passed away on July 25, 2026. Born on August 28, 1934 in Harvey, Illinois. Loving mother to Susan Stephenson, Margaret Green, Jim Green and the late John Green. Beautiful grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 6. Cherished sister to Dorothy Vanetten. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anne (nee Yadron) Harris. Liz was an compassionate, selfless, warm, rebel, reliable, caring, supportive and our rock, hero/shero. Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Cherished friend, devoted Catholic, worked for IBM field engineer, feminist, St Mary Church and Purdue University. Loved the TV shows Gunsmoke, Matlock and old movies. She also was a great seamstress in Harvey, Markham and Park Forest. She loved watching Jiminy Cricket and Shirley Temple. Music of Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Mario Lanza and Neil Diamond. Crash Bandicoot Pinball game, Slovak, handy, Christmas scavenger hunt and throat clearer. She was the best baker of cheesecake, fudge cake, date-nut bread, nut roll, kolaches and spicy cocoa.
Memorial mass on August 28th at 11AM at St Liborius Catholic Church, 71 W 35th St Steger, Illinois.
