Evangelina Galvan (nee Garza) age 96 of South Chicago Heights, Illinois passed away on May 20, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Desiderio (2010).  Loving mother of Guadalupe (David) Garcia, Roberto (Debbie) Galvan, Luis (Carletta) Galvan, Jeorge (Anita) Galvan, the late Gloria Galvan, Leonel (Margaret) Galvan, Alberto Galvan, the late Marcelino (Kimberly) Galvan, Diana (Michael) Finnin and Norma (Edward) Sanchez. Cherished Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother of many.  Dear sister of the late Rogerio Garza, the late Leonel Garza, Josephina Gonzales, the late Estella Muniz, Emma Fuentes, the late Rene Garza, the late Cruz Jr. Garza, Cruz Jr. Garza, the late Maria Guadalupe Alvarez, the late Raul Garza, the late Alicia Perez, the late Jose Maria Garza and Minerva Rodriguez.  

Visitation Wednesday, May 25th  from 2:00 P.M until 8 P.M. at the Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.  Funeral Mass Thursday, May 26th  10:00A.M. at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 78 Cherry Street, Park Forest, Illinois.  Interment: Assumption Catholic Cemetery.     I love my wela so much… she’s in a better place now and she’s watching over me. I will always miss the times where she would cook for me like creme of wheat, and my favorite rice and beans after school. This hurts to see this post, but her presence was good while it lasted. I wish she could have stayed longer. I love you wela rest in peace. I hope your enjoying afterlife with welo. I love you. We will play cards together again one day. I will continue my journey in honor of you wela. I love you so so much…
