Florence Josephine Bagaline (nee Metcalfe) a life time resident of Steger, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer€™s.  Florence was born on August 20, 1928 to Lillian (Beckman) and Joseph Metcalfe.  She is a 1946 graduate of Bloom High School and a loyal member of her faith at St. Liborius Church in Steger.  Florence was a devoted mother, a doting grandmother and a cherished great grandmother; she was an avid reader, loved dancing, traveling, gardening and taking photos and videos of her beloved family. Preceded in death by her parents, second husband Anthony Bagaline in 1969, her brother Clarence in 1980, and her dear friend and traveling companion Joseph Patty in 2008.  Survived by her beloved daughters Christine Kerwin and Tammi (Michael) Muehring, loving grandmother to Kathleen (Adam) Chappelle and Kevin Kerwin; great grandmother to Nathan Chappelle.  Dear sister in law to Edith Metcalfe; fond aunt to Clarence Metcalfe Jr., Joseph Metcalfe, Jennifer Reedy, Kathleen Pabian and April McDermott.Visitation Thursday, May 25 from 4PM until 8PM with a 7:15PM Service at Steger Funeral Home, 125 E Steger Road (34^th Street), Steger, IL.  Interment is private.  Info: call (708) 755-3400.  Stegerfuneralhome.net
