Jerry (Gerald) J. Prendergast age 68 of Lynwood, Illinois passed away at home with his wife and son by his side October 9, 2014. Survived by his beloved wife Sandy (Gray) and his loving son Matt. Son to the late Rita (Moore) Prendergast and the late Thomas Prendergast Sr. Dear brother to Patsy Duffy, Mary Prendergast, Thomas Prendergast Jr., and the late Bill Prendergast. Jerry was a member of Local #130 Plumbers Union for 44 years; served proudly in the Army Infantry and the 82nd Airborne Division in Viet Nam. In lieu of flowers, donation to Leukemia and Lymphome Society. Family request that due to allergies please refrain from flowers, wearing of perfume, colognes and aftershave lotion.Visitation Tuesday from 4:00PM until the time of service at 7:00PM at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.
