Guy Callahan age 85, born in North Carolina and  longtime resident of Crete, Illinois, passed away on May 22, 2016.  Preceded in death by his 1^st wife Mary (nee Ayers) 1986.  Beloved father to Sandra Callahan, Sherry Callahan and Peggy Callahan (Patrick) O€™Laughlin.  Loving grandfather to Ariel Resendez, Alyssa Resendez, Garrett (Kim) O€™Laughlin, Kaylee (Adam) Villalobos and Brenna O€™Laughlin.  Cherished great grandfather to Hanna and Audrey Villalobos and Kinsley Stallings.  Dear brother to Jean Passini and Leigh Shields.  Former wife Elizabeth Callahan (nee Bobadilla).  Guy was a member of the Neighborhood Masonic Lodge #1169 of Homewood, Illinois.  He was a longest standing member of Calumet Country Club.  Guy was an owner of several cemeteries.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ingalls Development Foundation, Cancer Research Fund, One Ingalls Drive, Harvey, IL  60426.Visitation on Tuesday, May 24^th, from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at the Steger Funeral Home, 125 E Steger Road (34^th Street), Steger, IL.
