James J. Duffy Jr. Age: 65, Resident of Auburn, IN. Passed away on April 16, 2026. Beautiful son to the late James Joseph Duffy Sr. and Mary (nee McCormack). Loving brother of the Late Thomas Duffy (D. 1979), Sharon Duffy, Lorraine (Keith) Duffy- O’Neal and Denise (James) Kelly. Dear Uncle of Fiona, Sheila and Kevin.

 

Visitation Saturday, April 25th, 2026, from 10 A.M. until time of service 12:00 Noon at Crete Funeral Home 1182 Main Street, Crete, IL, 60417.  Burial to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery 19500 S Cottage Grove, Glenwood, Illinois.  Info: 708-754-6000

    Jim was a great guy. A great friend to many. He was funny and I don’t ever recall him saying a bad word about anyone.

    I haven’t seen Jim in years but I will never forget him.

    Of all my friends from high-school, Duffy was the most fun to be with. His irreverent humor and optimism was contagious. The world is a more boring place without him.

    Wishing Jim and his family peace.
    I only knew Jim briefly, but in that time it was evident he was a kind and caring person. Always had a smile and a good story. We bonded over our love of guitar and music in general. He will be missed.
