Obituary
Joan R. Godfrey age 85 longtime resident of Crete, Illinois passed away on October 26, 2022. Born on November 4, 1936 to John and Ruth (Rinne) Godfrey. Joan retired as an Executive Secretary for ComEd; she was also an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Crete, Illinois. Joan preceded in death by her sister Mary Ann Godfrey and brother Rev. William Godfrey. Beloved aunt to her nephews James, Jon and David Godfrey; a niece Elizabeth (Zach) Nikolai. Great aunt to niece Yvonne (Tom) Godfrey – Rosesel and nephews Andrew and Luke Nikolai. Joan also leaves behind many relatives and friends. Memorials can be directed to Zion Lutheran Ministry Program.
Visitation & Service on Friday, November 4th from 9:30AM until time of service at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 1610 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.
