John P. Jones age 93 of Crete, Illinois passed away on April 24, 2015. Preceded in death by his loving wife Rita (nee Kleifges) 2013. Beloved father to Carol (George) Vallortigara, Linda Jones, John J. (Maureen) Jones and James A. Jones. Cherished grandfather to Lauren (Patrick) Madden, Matthew Jones and Jay (Becky) Jones; great grandfather to Ryan Madden, Ava Jones and Autumn Jones. Dear brother to the late Daniel (Patricia) Jones.John worked as a machinist for Illinois Central Railroad, member of the American Legion Post 1200 Monee, former member of the VFW, was on the Monday Golf League at Golf Vista and served proudly in the U.S. Navy WWII veteran.Visitation Friday, May 1, 2015 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.
