Leona R. Carlson (nee Matthias) age 87 longtime resident of Crete, Illinois. Loving wife to the late Mauritz “Lenny”. Beloved mother to Sherry (late Kurt) Bushno, Kandy (Scott) Smith, Daniel Carlson, David Carlson, Kristina (Rick) Bruns and Kathryn Baker. Beautiful grandmother of 12; great grandmother of 7. Cherished sister to Wilber ‘Sam’ (Rose) Matthias. Dear Aunt to Bob, Debbie and Patti. Leona worked for several years at Rogers & Holland Jewelry and a longtime parishioner at Trinity Lutheran Church.
