Les was THE nicest person I have know in my entire life. My name is Wayne Rauch and I worked summers with Les while in college. My brother Bill also worked with Les many years at Alpha.
I also played softball against him (church league) in our younger days. I believe he played 3rd base and was the best player on the team. We were playing each other when he got hurt sliding into home. My brother said I hurt the best operator he had.
You were at our wedding at Trinity Lutheran in Tinley Park in 1968.
We will see him again, Maybe there will be baseball in heaven!
Our sympathy to you and family.
