Mary Louise Arnold (nee Paape)  (90), loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother went home, to be with the Lord on October 31, 2020. Mary was born on September 6, 1930, in Crete, IL. She married David James on December 2, 1951who preceded her in death on May 15, 2020.  They raised two daughters, Cynthia (Scott) Thomson and Kimberly (Brian) DuBridge and two sons James (Penny), and Michael.  Mary Lou is survived by her four children, three grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Ihrke, Justin (Sarah) Thomson and Phillip (Haley) Arnold and five great grandchildren. Mary Lou did clerical work at Illinois Shade Cloth and was a custodian at Hickory elementary School.  She volunteered playing the organ at St. James Manor in Crete and was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Crete, Illinois.

Visitation and services on Friday, November 6th from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 1610 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.  Interment:  Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Crete, Illinois. Arrangements were entrusted to Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.   Info:  (708) 672-7600.
