Michael S. Jedlicka, age 69, passed away at home surrounded by family, on January 7, 2026.

Loving husband of Martha (nee Vose).

Devoted Dad of Lindsay (Ryan) Wood, Michael (Caitlin) Jedlicka, and Step Dad of David (Rachel) Slimp, Jacob Slimp.

Proud Grandpa of Dylan and Gwyn Wood; McKenzie, Jordan, and Cooper Jedlicka; and Fiona and Grady Slimp.

Dear brother of the late Frank (Pat) Jedlicka.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Barbara (nee Lebus) Jedlicka.

Mike was a longtime employee of Brown Packing Co. and later Greco and Sons. He was a sports lover. He was often found on the field or court playing, coaching, or spectating. Mike loved spending time with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren.

The family and friends of Mike Jedlicka will celebrate his life on Saturday, January 31, 2026 with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home 540 Dixie Hwy (at Joe Orr Road), Chicago Heights, IL 60411.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at Pancreatic Cancer Action Network – Research, Patient Support, Resources

    So sad I hear my husbands cousin dying so young!!! Gone but will never be forgotten .live Frank and Barbara they came too my wedding Aug 20 1983

    RIP dear cousin Mike. Barb Jedlicka was my mother’s sister. When all the cousins were just kids we were pretty close except the ones living further away in Florida. Time and circumstances drifted us apart but Mike will always be a memory in my heart.

    My deepest sympathy to his wife and children.
    Mike & I were 1st cousins. Our moms (Barbara & Dorothy) were close sisters. We spent many fun times as kids together. Our families played cards together, celebrated holidays, attended many of Mike’s football games where he was quarterback at Mendel Catholic High School, and we hung out as young adults.
    We lost touch over the years, but Mike will be remembered as one of my favorite cousins. He will be remembered fondly. RIP Mike🩷

    My sympathy to all the family of Mike Jedlicka. He was my husband’s cousin and I am very sorry that he lost his with fight with cancer. My husband Jeff also died of pancreatic cancer 14 years ago. Hopefully a cure for cancer will finally be found so people do not have to die so young. Love is eternal and may Mike rest in peace.

    My condolences to Mike’s family.
    I only knew Mike as our quarterback for the Chicago Heights Park District Rams in 1969. He took us through the championship undefeated that year.
    So sorry for your loss.
