Michael Sadus, age 49, passed away on July 12, 2026.
Michael was born on January 11, 1977, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to Dee and Ed Sadus. He graduated from Bloom High School before proudly serving in the United States military. Following his military service, he built a career in Information Technology, where he worked for many years.
Michael will be remembered for his big heart, infectious sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time with family and friends, and listening to his favorite ’90s rap music. Known as “Mr. Fix It,” Mike could fix just about anything around the house and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He also had a passion for coin collecting and enjoyed exploring a variety of interests and hobbies throughout his life. Michael always took great pride in his service in the United States Navy, especially the years he served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. His time in the Navy gave him the opportunity to travel to seaports around the world, creating experiences and memories that he valued throughout his life.
Michael is survived by his beloved children, Ella and Justin, and their mother, Lauren; his beloved dog Tucker, his parents, Dee and Ed Sadus; his sister, Lynne, and her husband, Rocky; his brothers, Mark, and Matt and his wife, Amanda; his uncle Mitch and aunt Kathy; as well as his cherished nieces and nephews; Mason, Luca, Marco, Lexi, Jessica and Austin. As well as extended family, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 18th between 1-6 pm at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home in Chicago Heights. Please come and share your favorite memory of Mike.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Mental Health organization in your local community or a Veterans group, if desired.
Mike will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

We were next door neighbors of Mike’s for many years. Mike was the kind of neighbor everyone hopes to have. He was always there with a willingness to help…. never hesitating when we needed a hand. Whether it was dealing with a flooded basement, rescuing us when a pigeon found its way down the chimney and into our house or simply asking if there was anything we need, Mike was always there.
Mike will be deeply missed, fondly remembered and always appreciated.
Our hearts go out to his family, especially Ella and Justin.
With deepest sympathy,
Barbara and Tim Ahlering
