Myla A. Konkol (nee Schaller) age 91 of Steger, Illinois born March 16, 1923 and passed away on January 11, 2015.  Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Frank (10-15-97); mother to Lois Genova and Judy (Tom) Niemczak.  Grandmother to Jessica (Kenzeric) Cook and Joshua Pizzimenti; great grandmother to David, Isaac, Jordon, Dominic, Olivia and Justin.  Sister to Kenneth, Orville, Benjamin Schaller, Bonnie Larson, late Myron, late Otho, late Walter Schaller, and late Arlene Peterson.  Myla€™s energetic and effervescent nature was life-long, whether at her various places of employment, or at home in her kitchen.  Myla was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Steger, active member of the Ladies Aid and Altar Guild.  Her infectious smile warmed the hearts of all who knew her.  Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church.Visitation Sunday, January 18th from 2:00PM until 7:00PM at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.
