Nettie J. Carter (nee Hood) age 80 of Crete, Illinois passed away on March 24, 2015. Beloved wife of George; loving mother to Pamela (late Michael) Damore, Deborah (Joseph) DeYoung, George Carter and Ronda (Douglas) Hancock. Cherished grandmother to Danielle, Aaron, John, Clint, Brett, Brad, Davis, Andrea, Alora, Michael, Demarie, Joshua, Luke and Cheyenne; great grandmother of 8. Dear sister to Dorothy (late Arnie) Leffel, Jessie (late Roy) Collins, Grace (late Owen) Schraufnagel; preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, March 27 from 2:00PM to 8:00PM at the Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois. Funeral service on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
