Milton H. Zara also known as “Uncle Miltie” age 93, of Park Forest, Illinois passed away on April 2, 2021.  Born October 26, 1927 in Montclair, New Jersey to the late Haig and late Grace (Nee Tungrian) Zara.  Loving husband of 70 years to Louise (nee Kahrimanian) which was celebrated just a day before his passing.  Beloved father to Gregory Zara, Kevin (Ramie) Zara and Cheryl (Russ) Zara Vanderhoff.   

Milton went to two Ivy League colleges MIT and Brown University.  After attending MIT he was drafted into the Army to serve in World War II where he served proudly. When he came back he attended Brown University where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering. He also played on Brown’s Rugby team. During his summer breaks he would head to NY to help his parents with their guest house near the Saratoga Springs horse track, one summer at the guest house he met his future bride.

 In 1965 he and his bride and two sons moved to Chicago suburbs for work. He was hired at De Soto, later to be bought out by Sonneborn and then Dural. During the last 70’s he decided it was time to venture out on his own forming his own building product consulting firm called, Zara and Associates which had him traveling all over the U.S. During his work stint he established two US patents

He took an interest in coin collecting, stamp collecting, playing the piano, Oudh and Mandolin. He also enjoyed traveling and playing cards with friends. He was a member of the Mensa Society with an IQ of 142. Later in life he became active with family ancestry which drew him closer to relatives in Argentina, France, and Germany which he E-mailed back in forth.

He will be greatly remembered for his humor big heart and charismatic personality.

Sherlock age 73 longtime resident of Steger, Illinois passed away on April 4, 2021.  Loving husband to Joyce (nee Mull); beloved father to Julie Conrad and Stephanie (Don) Henderson.  Beautiful grandfather to Caleb and Cayden Conrad, Myla and Donaven Henderson.  Fond brother to Larry (Kay) Sherlock, Michael Sherlock, Steve (Jeanette) Sherlock, Mark (Jamie) Sherlock, Robbi (Joe) Tribbey, sister in law Karen Clavier, brother in law Ronnie (Irene) Mull.  Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Shirley (nee Simons) Sherlock, and a brother Jeff Sherlock.  Ronald served proudly in the U.S. Army.

David C. Naylor age 73 of Crete, Illinois passed away March 16, 2021 peacefully at home.  Loving husband to his ‘bride’ Susan (nee Forbes) of 52 years; brother to Jim (Mark) Naylor,  Bill (Jackie) Forbes and late Robert (Shirley) Forbes.  Devoted father to his 5 children Mark (Kim), Chad (Chris), Jason (Lynette), Amy (Kevin) and Adam (Courtney).  Grandfather to Michael, Lauren, Abby, Sara, Ryan, Logan, Brayden, Jake, Aubrey, Colton and Caleb.  Dave was an IBEW 134 electrician for 51 years.  He enjoyed classic cars, woodworking, fishing and especially spending time with his family.  He spent his last years at ‘the lake’ in Evart, Michigan cruising in his boat and having fires.  He is loved by many and his quick wit and humor will be missed by all.  He preceeded in death by his parents, Newell and Barbara Naylor. He donated his body to Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois.   In lieu of flowers please make donations to the church.

Mike was born April 26, 1959 in Harvey, IL at Ingalls Memorial Hospital, the son of Glenn and Sandra (nee Woodward) Moutrey.  He retired from Bimba Manufacturing after working 39 ½ years in the packaging department.  Mike had a love for classic cars, bowling, antiquing and collecting bar memorabilia.  But his greatest love was for his family.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his daughter Monica (Nathan) Schwarzentraub, Beecher, grandson Carson Schwarzentraub, Beecher, sister Lynn (Nigel) Letherby, Manhattan, nephews and god-children Dylan and Liam Letherby, Manhattan, fiancé Joy Walker, Grant Park, honorary step-children Tim (Michele) Walker, Beecher, Jenifer (Jeff) Mendrala, Manteno, Jason Walker, Morocco, IN, Karli (Matt) Jankauskis, Dyer, IN, Bryan (Jennifer) Walker, Demotte, IN and honorary step-grandchildren Olivia, Nathan, Lillian, Archer, Abigail, Ellie and Owen.
