Mitkus age 91 formerly of Chicago Heights, Illinois passed away on September 21, 2013 at Beecher Manor.  Preceded in death by his loving wife Erma (nee Janecek) 11-27-1983.  Cherished uncle to Theresa Stewart (loving great uncle to Austin, Christina, Clayton and Travis) of Houston, TX., Anthony Goluszek of So. Chicago Heights, IL and Victoria Goluszek of So. Chicago Heights, IL.  Peter retired as a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office and served proudly in the U.S. Army.Visitation and funeral on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 9:00AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00AM at Crete Funeral Home 1182 Main St. (Dixie Hwy.), Crete, IL 60417.  Interment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Steger, IL.  Info.
