Ruth A. Elson (nee Sheller) age 83 of Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away on September 5, 2026. Beloved wife to the late Michael Sr. (d.2019). Loving mother to Michael (Eden) Elson Jr.; step sons Erik (Teresa) Wood and Shaun Wood. Beautiful grandmother to Anya Elson, Ben Pitlik, Noah Pitlik, Alexis Wood and the late Drake Wood. Cherished sister to Alice Sheller, and Mary Kevoian. Preceded in death by her siblings Irene Gray, John T., James, Walter, David Sheller and her parents John and Alice (nee Trischler) Sheller.
Visitation Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home 540 Dixie Hwy. (at Joe Orr Road), Chicago Heights, IL 60411. Visitation on Tuesday September 15th at Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA from 9AM until time of service at 12 Noon following with a burial at Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
