Shirley Camp, age 90 of Chicago Heights, Illinois passed away peacefully at her home on June 1st with her sons Mike and Chris at her bedside. Shirley also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and their families. Shirley preceded in death by her beloved husband Lawrence Camp (1985), parents Lee and Nell McCullough, two dear sisters Carol Conn and Joyce Bowman.She grew up in Monmouth, Illinois where she graduated from High School in 1944. Shirley and Lawrence were married in Chicago in 1952; then moved to Chicago Heights in 1959 where she resided for 58 years.Shirley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago Heights for 58 years; she taught Sunday School to pre-schoolers and was a member of the Martha-Rachel Circle Group.She was employed at Heritage Olympia Bank for 40 years as an asset custody officer and several other positions; she also served as director of the Credit Woman International for many years. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and plays, museums and dining in Chicago, then volunteers as a tour guide to school children at the Chicago Art Institute.Shirleys smile, compassion and ability to put others needs ahead of her own will be missed by all who knew her.In lieu of flowers, memorial to the first Presbyterian Church of Chicago Heights, 900 Thomas Street, Chicago Heights, Illinois.Visitation Thursday, June 8 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home, 540 Dixie Hwy. (at Joe Orr Road), Chicago Heights, IL 60411. Funeral service on Friday at 10AM at the funeral home. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois on Monday, June 12 at 1:00PM.
