Shirley D. Arvia (nee Oliver) age 81 longtime resident of Chicago Heights, Illinois passed away on November 26, 2022.  Beloved wife to the late James (2017); loving mother to Therese (Robert) Kraus, Jim (Patty) Arvia, Jack (Anne) Arvia, Mark (Kimberly) Arvia, Mary (Kavin) Roberts, Patty (Fred) Coluzzi, Barbara Arvia and Cynthia Arvia.  Beautiful grandmother of 20; great grandmother of 4.  Cherished sister to Ellen VanSlyke, Leora (Dave) Pedric and the late Jacqueline Trubac.

Visitation Tuesday, November 29th from 2PM to 8PM at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home 540 Dixie Hwy. (at Joe Orr Rd.), Chicago Heights, IL 60411. Lying in state on Wednesday from 10AM until time of Mass at 11AM at St. Jude Church, 241 W 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL.   Interment:  St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois.  (708) 754-0016.

    My deepest sympathy to the Arvia family for the loss of Shirley. She was such a warm and friendly person.
    There are no words to ease the pain you’re experiencing but keep in mind she touched many lives with her beautiful voice and her kind ways. She is now at peace reunited with her beloved Jim.
