Walter F. Tama (GySgt USMC Retired) age 85 of Chicago Heights, Illinois passed away on December 3, 2013. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years Gayle (nee Blum). Beloved father to Cheryl (Scott) Oblander and Gregory (Rose) Tama. Cherished grandfather to Erica Tama and Alex Tama. Fond brother to Fred (late Evelyn) Tama. Walter served proudly for 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corp retiring at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, and later was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the U.S. Marine Corp Toys for Tots. Visitation and service on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 10AM until the time of funeral service at 1:00PM at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home 540 Dixie Hwy. (at Joe Orr Rd.), Chicago Heights, IL 60411.
