William Spelde Sr. age 85 of Crete, Illinois formerly of Beecher, Illinois passed away on January 18, 2016. Beloved husband to Mary Ann (nee Aardsma); loving father to William (Mary Patricia) Spelde Jr., Barbara (Gilbert) Baldazo and the late Berend Ben (Bonnie) Spelde. Cherished grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 9. Preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Sadie (nee Landman) Spelde and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Fond uncle to many. Bill retired after 30 years as an Engineer at Allis Chalmers and served proudly in the U.S. Army.Visitation Thursday, January 21 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at the Crete Funeral Home,1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.
