Yoland R. Newhuis (nee Baltzer) age 91 of Crete, Illinois passed away on July 31, 2015. Preceded in death by her loving husband John (1993). Beloved mother to the late Richard (Dagmar) Newhuis, George (Charlene) Newhuis, Annamarie Newhuis-Schwarz, Robert (Leslie) Newhuis, Alfred (Esther) Newhuis, Harold (Patty) Newhuis and Ella Daviera. Cherished grandmother to 10; great grandmother of 6. Fond sister to Marian Baltzer, Veronica Clarke, Joan Thomas and a dear sister in law to Marie Walters, Agnes Berbig and Rosemary Newhuis. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Yoland worked for 28 years at School District 201U as a food service preparer and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Crete Amvets Post #84. In lieu of flowers donations to St. James Hospice House, 1423 Chicago Road, 6 North, Chicago Heights, Illinois 60411 or to American Cancer Society.Visitation Tuesday from 2:00PM until 8:00PM at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street, Crete, Illinois.
